block a medicine
just finished my first day of medicine. it was tough. had to stand for like 6 hours… had bedside in the morning and then clinical skills in the afternoon. was totally exhausted at the end of the day, and i think i slept for like 30 minutes in the library. i so wish that i had medicine like in the earlier blocks… would be so much better… oh well… so i’ll have to work extra hard now…
bedside was weird today, and i think it’ll be the same over the block. we had a year 3 tcm student attached with us during the session. we had no idea, and didn’t know anything about her. anyway, she was just standing there, not saying a word. so we went on as usual, and did our thing, and then we started discussing amongst ourselves. it was just like random things, that one of us brought up. anyway, i thinking whether they actually understand what we’re talking about. do they teach like western stuff? do they actually understand the terms that we use. anyway, when the doc came, he kinda ignored the poor girl for the whole session, only looking at us and talking to us. what is the faculty trying to achieve through this? anyway, it just feels weird…
