Was on call last night. A man involved in a road traffic accident was admitted. He had two main laceration over his arm and forehead. To my surprise, the lacerations weren’t sutured up before he was sent to the wards. Anyway, I spend around 15 minutes suturing the arm laceration which was about 4 cm long. The only thing was it wasn’t a very straight laceration, so I spent a lot of time thinking how I was going to suture him up. I managed to suture it up alright, I think it looked pretty good.
The laceration on the forehead involved some skin loss. Unfortunately, he lost about 1/3 of his eyebrow. We had to send him to the plastic surgeons to see what can be done about that.
