MWSF Reflections…

iPhoto has been giving you the option to print your photos into books for a while, but I haven’t really used it before…. The technology is just the same, I think you can probably just play around with the RSS feed so that iPhoto will recognize the feed…. Anyway, I might try Aperture or Lightroom, for the mean time iPhoto is still going to be my primary program.iWeb looks pretty good.

Encounter with AppleCare

The guy there told me that my screen was misaligned and because it’s a cosmetic problem, it wasn’t covered by the warranty, he could take the computer in and let the technical staff look at it, but that will cost my AUD50 just to have it looked…. If they didn’t fix my computer, I was definitely going to call up Apple in Hong Kong, and talk to their manager to get them on my case.

After 4 days with Tiger

I actually think SuperDuper is better than Carbon Copy Cloner. The interface is much better in SuperDuper, and it worked better. Anyway, after getting a backup done, I did a erase and install for Tiger, and then imported all my user files afterwards using the Apple’s wizard.

Mac OS/Windows

With each new version of MAC OS, people talk about their computer getting faster and faster…. Whenever there’s a new version of Windows, we wonder if our computer is fast enough for the new operating system. We wonder how much slower the new version of Windows will make our new computers.

RSS/Atom Newsreader

Basically what happens is I fire up my newsreader, and it will search within my subscription for any updates, and then show me all the titles…. Anyway, because all the programs that I’m using are all Mac based, I haven’t been able to really tell you how cool all this is because you really got to try it out yourself…. It might not look as good as mine, but it gets the job done and it’s free for the windows platform.
